Default ImageSatellite Radio...

If it were my vehicle, I would recommend satellite radio in addition to your favorite CDs and local radio stations. I have an XM radio unit in my car (xmradio.com) while Jim has Sirrius (sirius.com) radios in his cars. This was a great addition to my car, which already has a DVD player in the headliner and a great Harmon Kardon sound system. I love satellite radio. I can listen to any genre of music, my kids love Radio Disney and XM kids (in my car), I get my fix of talk radio and Fox News, and there are some real cool programs like NPR, Old Time Radio shows, Oprah, Ellen DeGeneres, Dr. Laura, Martha, and of course, every different genre of sports that are available for listening. The greatest accessory we’ve ever put on my car is satellite radio. Back...

Keeping it clean...

If it were mine, I would recommend a full detail of the exterior and interior every 6 months. A full detail will bring out the paint color by putting on a good coat of wax, condition the interior and basically make the car look great without the cheerios, spilled juice boxes, and artwork that the kids bring home. A full detail brings the car back to life. I do not recommend any cleaning of the engine bay or undercarriage. Pressure spraying water into the engine bay can force water up and into some sensitive electronic components. Even though cleaning the engine bay makes the car look nice, a little dirt just adds some character. Back...

How empty is empty?

If it were mine, I wouldn’t wait for the fuel light to come on then drive another 20 miles before you get to the gas station. This will basically burn up the fuel pump, which costs a lot more than gas. I know gas is expensive, but don’t wait for the light to come on. Fill up before you burn it up. Don’t forget, you need to use premium gas in the high compression cars. Not using premium is inefficient; therefore the savings at the pump won’t translate when driving. In fact, it will cost more.
